About 1.3 and the map

I'm wondering about the 1.3 update.
Will it mean a new map?

The map gains that I'm aware of are cocoa and emeralds, neither of outmost importance. Emeralds have been planned to be a form of currency and we might not want people to be able to mine for the currency.

Besides that, the factions have just set up their bases and a break wouldn't be nesccesary for awhile yet.

Please tell me what you think about having a new map.

Emerald as a currency .... hope not I was looking forward to having pretty green walls/floors at base ... hee hee

Looking at a NO for the map reset.. emeralds are planned to be currency and mining them would obviously be dumb, if they're currency.
what is there to be missed out on? cocoa beans on trees, emeralds, desert temples and jungle temples?
jungle and desert temples hold such little "loot" that they're completely worthless and will just be destroyed for funsies (much like NPC villages have been ever since they've come about)
