First off, anyone wishing to carry items or even bases over to a 1.2 map will need to post here and register for the forums. In addition,
you will need to follow directions. You will not be walked through this process, reminded, or excessively "helped."
Users had some choice and time to give feedback and we considered either saving inventories/bases or keeping McMMO levels. Most users have expressed more interest in items and bases.
So:
There will be a new map for 1.2.
McMMO skills will be reset for 1.2.
Heroes will be reset (possibly delayed) for 1.2 along with a whole new classes system.
Anything in DONOR VAULTS do not apply to the new map or transfer quotas and will be saved.
- Every user will be able to bring over 10 items/stacks to the new map.
- Stone Donors will get 11. Iron will get 12. Gold will get 13. Diamond will get 15.
- Each additional item slot you want to bring over will cost you an additional $500. Every user can bring over up to 10 extra slots. (10 free slots, plus 10 paid slots)
- One user per household, per IP. The only obvious exceptions will be legitimate players. No using an alternate account to try and bring more items over. We will be cross-hatching and matching and checking IPs and server playing time and levels. If you attempt to cheat the system, both your alternate and your primary account will not be allowed to bring items to the new map. This is a rule and the only warning. (Including you, Kat. heh.)
- There will be a THIRTY SIX hour window where Hjelmansson and foxwillow will try to be online very often. Once that window is announced, users who have posted in this thread can get a hold of us and show us a chest with their items, pay for extra slots, etc. We will take their items and they will get them back for the new map. If Hjelmansson or foxwillow are not online, freakishdelight will have some instructions and will be able to help, too.
Factions will have the opportunity to bring their bases, or parts of their bases, to the new map.
This will not be easy, since it's kind of a pain in the ass for all involved.
The price will be quoted by foxwillow or Hjelmansson on a per-base level. This is because all bases are not equal -- a fully developed and functional chunk from bedrock to sky is obviously more valuable than a chunk with a 3x3 dirt house on it.
It will be more worthwhile for you to start from scratch. But the option to move your base is there if you are strong/rich enough in-game (either from profitable mining and farming, or from raiding), or if you are willing to donate to TruForge. (Donations to bring bases over do not accumulate to your general donor status).
Chests, Furnaces, and Dispensers will NOT be transferred. Spawners, farms, and infrastructure will.
Each base and chunk will be assessed and quoted if the faction or a member wants it to be. To bring base chunks to the new map, each chosen chunk will not be below a $5 dollar donation and will not be above a $25 dollar donation. For the purposes of base movement alone, each $1 donation money equals $2000 ingame. So, if a faction wanted to bring over a base that was pretty decently developed and 5 chunks large, it may be quoted at $85 donation. That means that each donor dollar equals $2000 ingame dollars, so either donating $85 to TruForge, or having $170,000 ingame will get that base transferred. We obviously don't expect that people will actually donate the entire amount they are quoted for -- this means you can mix and match. If we quote you at $85, that means you can pay $95,000 ingame and make up the difference with a donation. A formula will be provided to help with conversion.Last edited by Admin on Thu Mar 08, 2012 6:00 pm; edited 1 time in total
